Volunteering tonight at the casino. Do other provinces have this system where they get volunteers to do a bunch of mostly meaningless work in exchange for a cut of the casino profits? I'm doing count room tonight, which means I get to handle about a hundred thousand dollars in cash and stay out to 3:30am.

Annoying time of day, but good for the charity, this time it's girl guides.

 

There's a variety of Casino laws from province to province, couldn't work a Casino joint at the PNE but I worked the Pea table at Cloverdale Rodeo. Same province, different type of casino liscence.

 

I'm sitting in a waiting room at Peter Lougheed hospital and its hot like a sauna here, got a foot infection some how and am waiting for a antibiotic drip to settle it down. Only have about a 5 hour wait ahead of me.

 

Yeah, stuff like that is always a really long wait.

 

This place is hot as he'll yet there's only 4 of us not wearing heavy coats, an east Indian family and myself are the only ones that have taken off our coats. They understand my sign language so we're in tune with each other.

 

Well it looks like I survived this one, still have to go back tomorrow morning at 8 to get a portable IV pump to continue treatments for this infection.

 

Never heard of needing a portable iv machine. Must only give those out to the most important patients.
