Those of you that have the aftermarket tow mirrors, how are they in tight quarters? Like brushed out roads or narrow FS roads. In how to videos , they show how to install but not operate. They look like they would fold back out of the way but appear they don't retract/collapse inward would help.
I bought my tow mirrors from 1a-auto and they will fold back either way and will retract some but they don't stick out real bad.
The reason I'm asking is my stock mirror glass is flopping around and it's irritating. I do tow a 7' wide camp trailer, so I don't really need big a$$ tow mirrors but more mirror is better. If I'm considering buying new "replacement" mirrors may as well go bigger.. but dang those are big.

If the mirror glass is flopping around, you probably want to just peel it off and restick it with some high quality epoxy. I've had that happen on a couple of cars, and just re-gluing it sorts it out.

Hmm, fiddled with them a little but was concerned I might crack them, I'll look again.
thanks.

very happy with the mirrors. They will vibrate out though, I fixed that by putting stainless steel bolts in the arms. if I need to extend the mirror just take the bolt out works good.
Bought some for my daughters truck and been very pleased so far, probably been over a year now. Don't recall if I gottem from the same place but same mirror.
