Ok I have a 1998 ford e150 econoline conversion. There is a button on the radio labeled CD. Also has a cassette player. How can I connect my iPad to the radio so I can use bluetooth and listen to Pandora through the speakers of the van?
Is bluetooth important for some reason? The quick, cheap, and effective way is to use one of these in the cassette deck.
They have been making them for decades and work great for anything with a headphone jack. I noticed you have to have the headphone volume set to almost full (on the device), but turned too far up can distort the sound.
Some will broadcast through the radio but not sure how good they are. There are some add-ins you can splice into the radio but if I was going that far I'd just get a new head unit. I did a kenwood, enjoy it but its older and no bluetooth but I have alot of music on my usb. I put a bluetooth unit in my sons explorer and have enjoyed it. I went without a cd player in his cause he doesn't even know what one is and saved some money. With the wiring harness adapters and install kits one can be installed in around an hour or two with better sound quality and features.
