I am installing a in dash cd player into my truck. When doing this I was not using a wiring harnest, so I clipped the wires. While clipping one of the wires I got a zap. This didn't cause any of the fuses in the fuse box to blow, but the wire that leads to the batter does not have any power going to it anymore. The wire i clipped was not the one that led to the battery, and the wire that leads from the ignition still has power going threw it. How do I get power back into the wire that leads to the battery, and finish my installation

You could always run a separate wire to the battery for the radio. Be sure to fuse it. It is unclear whether the power needs to be switched or not. If it needs to be switched then find another nearby switched accessory to tap into or go to the fuse box which is nearby. Whenever working on anything electrical be sure to disconnect the battery. Also, I highly recommend the harnesses. Good investment for only $15. Good luck.
