HEY THERE EVERYONE,
I HAVE A FORD F-350 2006 6.0. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 75 MILES AN HOUR....WITH TRUCK & TRAILER WEIGHING ABOUT 14000 LBS ALL TOGETHER. LONG STORY SHORT...TRUCK STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING....TBC FAILURE....TOWED IT HOME. DISCOVERED FAN WIRE WAS SHREDDED....REPLACED FAN CLUTCH AND WIRING HARNESS...FICM...AND ECM....CHECKED ALL FUSES....OBD2 PORT STILL NOT READING. MILEAGE WILL NOT DISPLAY...AND WRENCH LIGHT IS ON...ABS IS ON....TRUCK WILL NOT TURN OVER. FLASHES CHECK GAUGES...AND TBC FAULT....JUST PUT REFURBISHED ENGINE IN PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING...TRUCK RAN FINE AFTER THAT FOR 2 WEEKS.
IM OUT OF IDEAS.....PLEASE HELP ME....THIS IS MY WORK TRUCK AND WITHOUT IT I AM DROWNING IN BILLS.
TBC, code I doubt will stop your truck from running. I would recheck all wiring, If you just put a fresh motor in and you left wiring untucked enough to get chewed up, I wouldn't be surprised if other wiring hasn't maybe come apart or failed. Also check your fuses, make sure they are actually in their slots and not slid down the wrong slots.
Here's an article I came across on the diesel site that might help you out.
I had a pickup where a mouse chewed the ground wire to the computer. Some things worked, some didn't, and some half-worked. It generally gave me about the same impression that I'm getting from you. Just all kinds of weird electrical stuff that didn't really make sense and no OBD connection. Simply put, if a bunch of electrics are sideways and you can't get anything out of the OBD there's about a 90% chance it's something with the wiring that's janky.
You might poke around under the hood, body, and even dash for a good hour or so checking for any broken or chewed wires. It only takes one to make things go awfully goofy.
