OEM radiator cracked (see pic) and replaced it with Mishimoto. Also replaced the upper hose with dieselsite silicone version, billet housing and 203* thermostat. New up-pipes are next.
Our OBS hose has always been this design. We only sell it so customers can use the housing in their 1995-1997 and it has always gone around the belt.
The hose we sell is a custom design. It is not a stock hose from any vehicle model.

Your truck might be an early '95. Does your truck have a reservoir with a pressure cap? Or an overflow, with the pressure cap on the radiator? The '94.5 and early '95 trucks had the old-school radiator with a cap, and an overflow. Basically a holdover from the IDI days. Mid-'95, they went to what's more commonly seen these days, with the reservoir as part of the pressurized system. Switching to the short neck for these rads would probably require a completely custom top hose.
