Auto 4WD Actuator Replacement
They pulled the actuator off the transmission, but they just zip-tied it to something else so it would hang out of the way.
Of course, before I got around to replacing the actuator, the zip-tie broke and I had an actuator hanging pretty close to the ground.
Rather than rehang it, I cut the wires that it was dangling from and completely pulled it, but I searched for "4WD actuator" in the forum and it sounds as though I may need to test it before I replace it.
What's the best way to check the actuator our without reconnecting it?
How about the best way to check the wire connections?
Is there an upgrade to the original part out there, or should I just replace it with a Ford part?
