Constantly throwing codes for both front wheel's ABS.
Ohm'd out both sensors - same reading
Ohm'd out wires leading to sensors - same reading
Ohm'd out rear diff speed sensor against a new one - same reading.
Pulled front sensor's cleaned and put my fingers in the sensor hole. What should I be able to feel? I'm wondering if the previous owner put non ABS hubs on????
I don't own one (2wd) but I believe the halo ring is actually inside the rotor. Could pull one off and look and see if it's abs or non-abs(if there is such a thing)

Edit: adding picture of 2wd rotor
.
Dang I thought the sensor sat in the hub, Hell that's easy - i'll do it tomorrow - thanks!!
So my rotors aren't like that - they're just standard. Do I assume then that the ABS is driven somehow from the hub with a cogged sections similar to above?? At this point I can only think that someone fitted non ABS hubs. Can you feel the splines via the ABS sensor hole?
Disclaimer: i don't have and haven't worked on a 2wd.
The way i understand it the sensor should be mounted so it is just above the halo ring and as the rotor turns the teeth on the ring produces inductive pulses within the sensor. If your rotors don't have halo rings there is no pulse for the sensor.
You keep using the term "hub". I thought 2wd used bearing and race assemblies?
Its still a hub, it just isn't sold as a complete assembly like the 4WD units are. The front rotors are available either with or without the reluctor ring, depending on whether the truck has 2WABS or 4WABS. Checking the rotors to make sure they're the right ones is the logical first step.
Picked up the 4W ABS for the fronts, gonna throw them on sunday. They're basically everything like Allaboutmpg said studs bearings et al. Will report after
