Recently installed a diamond eye turbo back exhaust on my 97 Single Cab F-250. Every since installing it I can hear a pinging noise coming from where the down pipe is. It is rhythm with the exhaust. Sounds like a flapper cap on an old tractor, in terms of the pinging noise
Is this normal with aftermarket exhaust? Wasn't like this with the factory exhaust.
You're probably hearing the downpipe contacting something, either the frame, the cab or the tranny. Have you gotten down there and just shook the pipe to see what it might be hitting? What did you do with the floor/firewall seam to make room for the downpipe.
