I would press in the sleeve and bore it/hone it to fit.

Not going to be cheap; however, any decent machine shop could do it.
Sleeve would be the only real option if this axle I'm working on now doesn't work out.
Call the only shop around, worst case would be $500 to do it. They are $$$ but they do it right and don't half a$$ anything.

The fitment is more than 0.010. 0.002 is a thickness of a human hair. It needs a sleeve and called a well known shop that does this for bigger trucks and if I want to use this axle it will probably (high end) cost me $500. But it will be done correctly.

I have another axle that has the locking pins for the king pins stuck and a few other things. I really wish I had a torch to heat everything up with. If I can get this one apart and if the bores are good I can simply use this one. I don't have a ID hole mic to really pull any numbers off of.
An inexpensive MAP torch from the hardware store is hot enough for breaking bolts loose. Takes a little while but will work. After heating red hot let cool for a few minutes and load ice onto it to shrink the pin. This will break loose even the most rusted bolt. Does Mid Fifty sell a reamer for this pin bore?

The problem is the tapered pin is in the center of the axle so any slop in the kink pin will "teeter" THE FIX YOU CAN D0 iis drill & tap the top and bottom of the axle with lock bolt. The axle is easy to drill and tap. So now the king pin is solid. We have done several this way....(no need to remove axle)
