Titan Tank- Installed

Just finished filling up the new tank. Installation wasn't bad at all, took just under 3 hours. I drove around with the stock tank with 0 miles till empty for about 10 miles and had maybe 3 gallons left in the old tank. I didn't have to jack the truck up at all, did it right in the driveway. The Titan tank slid right under the running boards. Important tip: make sure you connect all the fuel line connections properly! I was purging the system after I put 12 gallons in from containers and diesel was dripping from the DFCM. I was able to reach my hand up there and plug it in fully, but definitely check for leaks before you drive down the road. After that I went down to the Mobil to fill the rest of it up. I got a total of 54 gallons in the tank from bone dry. I was worried about it hanging down low but it's barely lower than stock with the skid plate. For the guys that are worried about the new sending unit/fuel tank design post 3/20, everything works just fine on mine so far and it was built on 4/17. Just have to get the DTE reprogrammed now. Overall I'm very happy!

Nice work - appreciate the photos. My shipped Friday and should arrive by Wednesday so my install should take place next weekend. A buddy and I installed the 50 gallon Titan Tank on my 2011 Super Duty. I have reviewed the instructions and the install on the 2017 looks a little easier.

Very nice! Can't wait for mine to ship... Good to know you can swap it out without raising the truck, figured I would try the same when mine arrived.

How was the length of the connections? Are they short and part of the reason you missed the connection the first time? It was pretty tight on the previous 50 gallon tank too.

No they weren't tight/short, I think it was just the fact that there were 8 of them. I should have been more thorough before I lifted it into position.

I was just looking for photos of this. Anyone have standard tank photos to compare? Is it the lowest part of the truck? Did it fill the void under the cab?
