Hello! I'm in the Niagara Falls/Lockport area, just bought a used 2008 Excape XLT I4 2.3L 2WD w/70K on it. I was intrigued by the 16-valve DOHC I4 engine and front drive, plus my old 2002 Nissan Xterra wouldn't pass NYS inspection so I figured it was time to try another Ford.
My last Ford was a new Bronco II bought in 1988. It had the V-6 w/4WD and I liked it a lot. My ex-wife ended up with it, but hey, I ain't complaining! It was worth it!
Got a couple questions about the Escape but that's for other sub-forums. I'm retired from the Postal Service and got my first Ford back in 1968; a 1960 Fairlane 500. So the Escape is my 3rd Ford, although I did have a 1965 Lincoln for a couple years.
Not too much else. I'm into rescue dogs, Dobermans and Weimaraners. That's why I've concentrated on SUVs for the past 30 years or so. Better for hauling dogs around.
I think that's enough for now. Sun's out, maybe I'll go for a drive...
