Hello from NY

I just graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I will be working in the Cardiovascular Intensive care unit at a local hosptial starting in July. My previous career was a VW service technician. I went to school at UTI with VW and FORD FACT training. Always been a Ford guy and i really want a new SuperDuty.

I am hoping to pick up a '17 F350 sometime around September or October.I plan on having this truck for a long time, so id prefer to get what i want as far as creature comforts but at the same time i am looking for information on

• best time to buy,
• accessories and options that i can skip to keep the cost down,
• must have options.

Features i want:

Crew Cab
6.7L Diesel
4x4
8' bed

Features id like:
White platinum color with Magnetic lower
Lariat trim level with LED headlights/Taillights,keyless entry, remote start

I am up in the air on bed size, my justification for larger bed size is i know in the years ill own the truck, ill be purchasing a house and will have plenty of projects to do. I also plan on plowing with the truck, mainly my driveway and some family members driveways during storms here in Upstate NY.

One of my hobbies is automotive detailing and I plan on keeping the truck long term, 10+ years or more. hoping this turns out to be a great truck.

Only mods i would be interested in doing is 2.5" level kit, EGR/DEF delete and 5" exhaust and required tuning. From the research i have done so far, the general consensus seems to be that the earlier you take off the emissions garbage, the better the truck does and longer it lasts.

My GF has a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT in Blue Jeans w/ Leather, Nav, BLIS.
