2012 f250
My dome light isn't working when open the door . checked fuse #4 and 12 in fuse box any ideas?

easy first .. BULB..... then door light switch. built into handle lock. I think...

I push the bulbs on by hand and they work so bulbs are good

door light switch . built into handle lock not sure what that is. this truck is fully loaded with all the options possible so it might be

so you are saying if you PRESS on bulb it LIGHTS????


then the light socket might be BAD. or dampness has damaged the bulb or socket.

I'm having the same problem. The two front will come on when turned on manual. the rear has a new bulb. the dimmer switch on the dash will not turn them on and they do not come on when the doors are opened. fuses are good.

Do they come on when the passengers side door is opened? Also to the OP, did you check the fuses or just pull them out and look at them to see if they looked blown.

Does the dash indicate door ajar if you turn the key on with the door open?

yes my door ajar lights up also fuses all good

Have our truck going into the ford garage Wednesday to check out why dome light doesn't work

had the dome light check and ford said its the module that goes with the fuse box
