bad vibration when accelerate
Driving a '99 Ford PowerStroke diesel F-250 4x4 (90,000 miles).
Just recently, I started experiencing vibration under load at around 1200-1500 RPM, usually in the 45-55 MPH range. It feels like the truck is bucking and the steering wheel shimmies. When I back off the accelerator, it stops. When I put my foot back on the accelerator, it starts again. Also, when I briefly turn OFF overdrive, it isn't as bad (RPM shoots up to around 2200-2500 when I do this). Finally, when I get the truck up past 60 MPH, it smooths out again.
Any ideas? It's been getting progressively worse. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
