cannot stop e4od leak

My e4od leaks from the pan gasket and no matter what i do it wont stop. Ive tried a cheap duralast gasket, just rtv sealant, and a nice felpro gasket. Torque the bolts to the recommended specs everytime. Still leaks. Seems like the more i drive it the less it leaks but still leaves a quarter size drop every couple days of sitting. Getting tired of this ****. Any word of advice? Thanks

Been through this before, as well. It's not specific to e40d transmissions, I've had all makes of trans do the same thing. The only luck I've had is to use 3M yellow adhesive (tube, not spray) between the gasket and pan, don't over torque the bolts.

Is the leak coming from the front or the rear of the pan? You may have a front or rear seal leak that just looks like it's coming from the pan.

Also, the transmission pan gasket is reusable, what happened to the original?

Make sure the pan isn't warped.

Also check the dipstick tube where it goes into the trans. I tried everything to stop my C-6 from leaking at passenger side front corner, including a new finned TCI aluminum pan. Turned out the leak was from the dipstick tube just above the pan lip. New dipstick tube and all is well (dry).
