Thumbs up Upgrading 2011 explorer with MFT to sync 3

I just upgraded my 2011 explorer to sync 3 with parts I acquired from e-bay. I used forscan to program the parameters to reveal all of the functionality. I can help for any questions.

What kind of cost was involved in this? What extra functionality do you get when doing this upgrade, is it worth the cost of doing to change the system out? What kind of time did it take to get it all installed and working correctly?

It would be most useful if you simply did a write-up of the whole process.

Hey @thaylit - I just pulled a Sync3 out of my F350 and was going to put it in my wife's 2016 Explorer. Anything special that needs to happen besides an updated GPS antenna? Is it just a straight plug and play otherwise?
