this only goes on the door not the front panel. No does not really quiet the noise, but does help when the windows or cracked open a bit. Does not fit my 11 E450 they really do not do much but I think they make the thing look a little better?

Have a set of those on our 04 Ranger and they are very good at keeping the rain out when the window is cracked open an inch or so.

I don't have them on my van but from what I recall on the cars I've been in, they don't help with noise. Also the "tape on" type may not stick for more than a year or two, none hold up to hail well.
If you have a lot of wind noise, remove and check behind the door panel for a thin plastic sheet that's supposed to be there, taped to the metal. Should help with some noise.
Color TV in your van?

I'd go with the Ventshade brand prolly. Had a set on my Dodge Ram 3500....for a lot of years. They cut down noise if driving and the windows cracked, but better for leaving them cracked when it was raining.

I have the Ventshade ones as well, no problems after at least 10 years. I bought them so I could crack the windows while raining, never gave wind noise any thought.

I have them on every vehicle, keep's the rain/water out mostly with the window cracked open, does help with wind noise.

Check these out, the last one's I bought -

JDM Vent Window Visor 2pc Wind Deflector Ford E-150 E-250 Econoline 92-04 05 06 | eBay

There is some double face tape on the one edge, you roll down the window, insert them in the window channel, roll the window up and done.
