Not trying to disagree with you about the LineX being better. The reason though that the LineX dug into the Rhino, is that the Rhino is designed to have a spongy nature to it so that when weight is shifted in an object that rests on top of the Rhino, it digs that corner into the Rhino and stops it from moving.
i checked into both and i chose line-x. it is more durable than anything i can throw at it and the appearance is far superior to rhino-liner. i have friends with rhino-liner who wish they too had line-x like me.
I would vote line-x myself. I have been looking into this for my '98 to replace the plastic bedliner I currently have (came on the truck when I bought it 2 weeks ago). I have not been able to find much warranty info online for the Rhino, but the Line-X has a lifetime warranty on it, so even if you do manage to tear it up down to the metal it sounds like they will replace it. When I get one it will probably be the Line-X.
Originally posted by Nate1040 I've had both. I currently have the Line-X product.
I will return to the Rhino product next time.
Can I ask why you're unhappy with the Line-X product? I'm about to have my F150 shot this weekend and you seem to be one of the few posters who don't like it. Just courious.
The Rhino product seems to be a little softer. It seems to dampen the sound a bit better. My Line-X product seems to be a "scratchy paint" as opposed to the Rhino being a "thick cusioning" layer.
Hmm, I need to find some info on the warranty of Rhino Liner most likely, that was my main reason for leaning towards Line-X. But the more soft cushion type liner sounds better to me, seeing as how I do put fishing equipment back in the bed and I don't want my rods/reels getting all scratched up from a "scratchy" product.
I don't haul anything heavy or anything damaging like rocks or anything, so right now the Rhino sounds better.
