Is it possible to bring the brake petal and gas closer in alignment to each other. I would assume one could put a spacer so gas sticks futher out in relationship to the brake.

I am am not speaking of the electric petal movement where you can move the pair in and out. Rather move them so they are the same height and can be hit without having to pull your foot back to touch the brakes.

This might be better suited to generic ford truck questions. Or maybe I don't fully understand why there is such a large Night difference between the two.
