I was kindly sent the drawing for the F2 parking brake link but haven't had the time to get it manufactured yet.
I have a set of parking brake parts removed from a 1949 F3 (14" rear drum) that you can have if you are interested. I will not need them. I'm willing to mail them to the UK as well.

Hi Tom
That would be amazing! If you're happy to see them go then please let me know how much you'd want for them and the shipping and I'll send you the money over. It's very kind of you as getting parts over here is nigh on impossible!
Progress has has slowed a bit but a little progress below
New HT leads Cleaned up inside the carb Fitting the headlining Headlining finished Reconditioned indicator unit The rubber floor mat tidied up the floor Wing mirrors and number plate fitted Relined brake shoes
That's looking good... no great! What's that weird license plate on front bumper for? LOL...
The black handle on your Signal Stat turn indicator can be painted too. There should be a little set screw that loosens to take the handle off. Paint it gloss black and it will look as good as new.
The bakelite switch on the turn inyicator switch does come off and I considered painting it but I quite like how it feels with the nicely worn balelite. I was also a bit concerned how well paint would take to it!
Just curious, were you able to fit those wing mirrors without extensive grinding to fit them over the hinge? I have used those mirrors on two separate trucks and both times the mirrors required extensive grinding to fit them without removing all the paint on the hinge. Is it just me?
ps. love the color! Both the trucks I restored have that color too!

I had the same problem. I even broke a bracket. They don't have the bracket as a separate part so I had to get a whole new assembly.

I painted my Signal Stat turn indicator in 1999 and the paint held well to the handle. But with these close up pictures I see that both the unit and the handle need to be painted again!

Hi
The passenger side mirror was easy and went on without any loss of paint or grinding. The drivers side was more difficult as the old pin had fully rusted in and had to be drilled out. Unfortunately we didn't manage to drill perfectly straight through the whole pin and so the new pin isn't at the perfect angle. It still works fine but we did need a fair amount of grinding to the hinge to get the mirror to fit.
To be honest the mirrors were a compromise. I really wanted west coast style mirrors but couldn't think of a good way to mount them and didn't really want to weld brackets onto my door having already painted it!

I found these larger mirrors some time ago. I believe that the mirror heads will fit on the hinge mounted stalks. I think that they were on eBay. They may have better pictures of the back.

I used these on the F2 because the hinge mount mirrors were too small for me. I mounted them on the hinge mount stalk.
