I can't decipher everything, but here's what I can tell:
F10 = F100 2 WD
J = 240 I6
K = Kansas City Assembly Plant
665711 = Assembled March 1965
115" Wheel base = Short Bed
A = Black
F100 = My documentation has a conflict here or it is only applicable to '66 models, but this should have been 101 for a short bed. Hopefully someone with more knowledge of the code will clarify.
581 = Standard cab, red crush vinyl and red wicker pattern.
A = 3 speed top loader transmission
09 = 3.70 open 9" rear end, rated for 3.3M load
5000 = GVWR
160 = Certified net horsepower @ 3800 RPM
DSO = ???
First time I've seen 160 stamped as a horsepower rating for any of these trucks. All other 1965 and 1966 trucks I have recorded, and there are hundreds, all have 129 if it is a 240cu - seems like a mis-stamping on this particular one.
Could someone tell me more about this truck please? I've been told it was a 63 F600. But the tag on the side of the hood is faded enough that it looks more like a 3. Also not sure where to find the vin # is at. I was told it's F600F602B. That's what he had on the registration.
