Differences in cobra 302's

Hey everyone, I just picked up a 302 out of a 69 mustang that has factory cobra valve covers. I'm just curious if they did anything else to the motors to make them more high performance or are they just standard 302 windsors with fancy valve covers. Any reply's will be appreciated

Probably just a dress up item.

What else did it have? Headers, 4v intake, carb?

"Cobra" lettered intakes and valve covers were installed on early AC Cobras and Shelby Mustangs.

The valve covers on the engine you reference are most likely aftermarket reproductions of the Cobra/Shelby valve covers.

The original Cobra valve covers had hollow lettering with a bare aluminum finish.

Later versions had solid lettering with a black crinkle finish.
