Greetings from Phoenix, AZ
I've got a 1954 F-100 that I'm working on rebuilding in my garage with a very limited amount of resources and money! Anyone know of any clubs / meet ups in the Phoenix area for 53-56 F-100s? If not, anyone interested in starting one? Also, are there any other similar get togethers or functions in the Phoenix area? I'd be interested in learning about what others are doing with their rides, share ideas, experiences, etc.
For example, I'm currently installing a custom front end power steering and coil spring kit. Was supposed to be a simple "drop in and weld" crossmember with the upper and lower control arms all one-piece. It has been anything but simple. Just about everything hasn't gone the way I was led to believe, so I'd be happy to share my experiences with anyone looking to do something similar.
Cheers!!
Brian
A) Pavilions on Saturday evening/nights. Pavillions is 101/Indian Bend. East scottsdale. Ridiculous amount of all classic rides. That's your ticket. I think there's something weekly at 43rd ave/Northern, as well. Don't quote me.
B) Keep at it. Fabrication and welding is all about learning. Learning perspective, learning from mistakes. Thinking outside the box, and learning from experienced people is where leaps and bound are made.
