there is a white or light gray ringright where the hose goes into the cylinder body . I used a needle nose pair of pliers with a ring shape on the end ( you know , the ones you get at wal mart that are extra long ) push in on that ring then push the hose in and pull it out of the body . But this only gets the hose out , it will not do anything for the leak .
Well, $1,600 later, my truck is back on the road. Seems I needed a slave cylinder, a clutch and all the bearings. I guess snow plowing = a new clutch each year.
Next time I replace a clutch on an older vehicle I will replace the slave cylinder as well. Live and learn.
