2011 6.7 starting issue

Hey guys, I've searched around and can't seem to find any other articles with the same problems I'm having. About 75% of the time when I put the key in the ignition to start the truck, the motor will slowly chug through two or three revolutions and then stop. I'll wait a few seconds and try the key again and the truck starts without a problem. The other 20% of the time the starter Boggs down and chugs slowly through five or six revolutions and then starts no problem. 5% of the time the truck starts like it should. The strangest thing about it is that if I use the remote start on the key, it starts the first time every time without any issues. Needless to say, it's driving me crazy. I'm not sure if the ignition is bad, the key is bad, or what.
