ok, my TPS was fried and my EGR was clogged, i put new ones on but my truck still drives the same(no power to pass or merge onto the interstate) what else can i check? driving down the road at 50 it has to downshift to go any faster. is the 302 just that weak or is mine messed up? my truck s 2wd AOD tranny shortbed regular cab. please help all the driving i do is highway the tranny is slipping but shouldn't need to downshift so often should it? and my milage is improved from 10.8 to 11.5(yeah!!)

How many miles on your tranny fluid? If its old, it brakes down and that could be your problem, just an idea.

mustang, there is no telling how many miles are on the fluid, but i'm just going to drive the tranny into the ground and then get a new one for it when it goes out(450 exchange at a local junkyard, or about 1000 exchange for a racing tranny) but since i posted the first post it had done a little better, but i think i will reset the computer and see what happens to it.
