Abe ,the pic above of the yellow motor was a pic i found on here , my engine is the red one at the top of the thread .
I thought it was what i needed to complete the carb linkage .
But i think that setup is only required if running an auto trans .
But after looking at yours we have the same arm on the firewall and carbs are similar , so i think the way yours is setup is how mine should be .

Oh, okay. That makes sense, sorry for the confusion. Yes it looks like a rod of some sort is what you need , if you can't get the actual linkage.
