I recall one time when i was 11 or 12 I was ridding on a farm wagon being pulled behind a car. We were doing about 30 down a gravel road and I decided I didn't want to go to town so I jumped off. I lost several pieces of skin but managed to avoid any serious injury.
When I jumped from a moving vehicle I was wearing a parachute and it was high enough to be sensible (?) to do so. Also it was a part of my job at that time.

Wait a moment! Muchtomydelight supports my presidential bid. Therefore, it is obvious that he both insightful and intelligent - a man among men without peer.
Dono
Thanks Dono. I have grown older and wiser, and learnd alot of lessons the hard way. Thats all I was saying. But I know bubba didnt mean no harm, and I would be willing to bet that after reading this thread, he wants to jump from a moving vehicle himself! A few pointers- aim for some shrubs-they soften the landing a little. and get a few practice runs in out of a pick-up bed before you step up to a car.
Thanks for the tips, MTMD. As I said earlier I did bail off a moving wagon one time, and I also left my motorcycle when it was doing 60MPH (I hit a dog), but I never said to myself, self I think it would be fun to jump of this motorcycle to see what happens.
And of course, don't take anything I say too seriously. I was just funnin with you and I knew anyone that could jump out of a moving car and live wouldn't be bothered by a little joking.

Any of you guys remeber being a kid laying in the back window of the family sedan, when dad hit the brakes and you flew into the floor board, jumped up and yelled ( CAN WE DOIT AGAIN DADY?) DW
