Help with steering box match up.
So my steering box went on my 08 superduty 4x4. I have a friend with a 2 wheel drive gear box. Mine has a build date of 08/07 if his is from 05 till then will it fit. Any help would be great

Figured it out my build date was a month to late any way so I'm still looking. It's my only vehicle so now it's remanufactured from which parts store can get me one tomorrow at the tune of about 400 big ones

Was wondering if you had decided on which steering gear to get.
You did not say in the post what actually went bad with yours.
Mine just has excessive play.
I purchased one from CARDONE that is suppose to be a better one than the Ford gear, but have yet to find the time to put it on.
Just curious as to what you got, have you had a chance to replace it and do you think it is a better unit than the Ford gear.
