2017 F250 Tailgate Open Problem
Having some issues opening the tailgate on my 2017 F250 Powerstroke Lariat. It wont open, unless while closed, I pull out the tailgate step and slam it down. Is this a problem others are having? Any idea on what the issue may be before I take to dealer?

Mine wouldn't unlock and open at all. Turned out to be a faulty actuator. Dealer replaced under warranty.

I've found that the tailgate release button is a little too close to the parking brake release...or my hands are too big. I always use the park brake when loading and unloading horse-beasts so the trailer stays solid...and on more than one occasion I've inadvertently dropped the tailgate when releasing the brake.
Would be nice to have a chime or something when it releases from the in-cab button.
Maybe the Forscan wizards will find a solution?
