ID on motor
I just got a motor out of a 59 Ford f-100 under the starter are the numbers D4AE-B2A1 can any of you guys help me out and tell whether it is a 351M or a 400 ?

The D4AE-B2A block was originally a 400 built in the 1974 model year, but it could have been rebuilt later as a 351M. The only way to know for sure is to check the crankshaft casting ID.
