Fuel system??
Hi guys,
My 95 F150 302 auto 2wd is lying to me about how much gas it has. Today I had a half of a tank. Then when I went to leave my buddies house, it told me it was empty. I was thinking it was a fuse or something. The guage still floats up and down when you stop and go like it always did. Is the guage bad, or is it the float in the tank, or what??
Also, does anyone have any advice on what brand of fuel injector cleaner to use or what brand not to use?

It is possible that it is the sending unit in your tank. I might be wrong but get some other opinions, i feel that it is the sending unit.

I practically guarantee you that its the sender in the tank. Both of mine have gone out. only replaced the rear one. Also there was a post from someone who had a defective switch (if you have dual tanks) that the contacts were pitted.
I think Chevron Techron is the best but I doubt you'll see much diff. I found out last week that Ford offers a special cleaner solution they put in the fuel rail that supposed to be the best but don't know what they would charge. I'm going to have this done if I can't get an annoying miss out of my truck. keep on trucking!! (new injectors are $50-75 aftermarket each!!)
