Other than that crap, how has your day been?

It was a tad warm on my way in this morning.

 

It's going. Irritated that I'm not headed out to the Lima, OH Jamboree event like I wanted - "on call" this weekend for the plant which means I need to be within an hour's drive of here. Couldn't swap with anyone either.

It's already 84* here. I need to mow tonight, so that should be fun.

 

Is the Jamboree this weekend? That sucks.

 

Yeah, Lima Jamboree starts tomorrow. Bloomsburg's not til July, and I will be at that one. The "on call" thing ends at the end of June.

 

I know how much you wanted to head out west. Is the on call stuff due to the current workload?

 

Yeah. With the plant running six days a week, we keep an engineer and draftsman "on call" if issues develop on Saturdays. There's no justification to have us actually come in as we would have nothing to do otherwise (we're winding down to 40 hour weeks ourselves as we're on the backside of the big crunch of projects). So, rules are to be available by phone and within 40 minutes of the plant - and Lima, OH is certainly not that close lol. Couldn't switch weekends either.

Oh well. Frustrated, but going to try and make the best of it and knock off some other things I need to do to the Bull as well as work on some OBS projects.

 

Where's Lima? There's a Lima PA near me.

 

Lima, Ohio. It's west of Columbus and north of Dayton - not real far from the Indiana state line. It's the first of the three Jamboree Series events that go on through the year - the other two are in Bloomsburg, PA in July and Indianapolis, IN in September.

 

oh, ok. thought i might be able to go. i'm not driving all the way out there! haha.

 

and there is one a little southwest of here too.

 

i'd like to drive my truck out there, but whew! i don't trust it to drive it to the gas station at this point.

 

After Sunday's adventure, I'd probably not drive mine much past the gas station either. I'll get that sorted this weekend.
