I've made a shelf to match the angle of the roof that I set my paint bucket on when I paint it. Its a 4X 12 pitch so its not bad.

I know what you mean.. The only way I will go on a roof is if I have a Bucket lift that I can stay in...LOL

Can't work on the cupola while standing in a bucket. Going from the ladder to the roof and back is my hard part.

I wish that I had made it out of PVC lumber. Treated would have been better than the common pine that I used. I paint it every couple of years. I let it go about 4 years now and shouldn't have.
