Trying to find a thread

A couple years ago or so, there was a thread on here where the owner did some massive modifications to his truck. If I remember correctly, it was a flareside F100 or F150, and he drastically dropped it, but also made custom door panels and a custom dash out of fiberglass.

I've tried to find that thread, or at least the pics again but can't seem to find it anymore.

Anyone know where it is, or am I just blind like my wife says I am?

Now I would like to see that.
I have gone back thru older pages over time but have not come across anything like that.

It was a decently long thread, at least 10 pages of posts with a ton of pics where he did some pretty drastic modifications. It was pretty amazing what he did.

Maybe it was 81ChopTop?

He built a custom dash and dropped 460 and a 4link into a 1981 Flareside F100.

The picture links in the beginning of this thread are all broken.

That one is sweet, but not the one I remember. The one I remember had some pretty radical fiberglass custom made door panels and dash, and center console. Hate to say it, and mean no offense, but kinda like most modders do rice-burners. It was a pretty amazing site to see..

The only other one that I can think of is 'The Misadventures of El Guapo', but that's an '86 F150 style side.

Yeah, I know both of those, but this was more of a fast and furious kinda modded truck.. Had a pretty amazing stereo system in it too if I recall..

I'm pretty sure he's looking for a thread where the guy built plywood armatures and stretched spandex over them before hitting it with polyester or epoxy resin.

I have a picture in my mind of some impressive speaker bulges in the door panels but can't come up with a search term.

I've found the forum search a bit iffy. Sometimes an ordinary Google search works better, and it will return many hits from this forum for truck related topics. So why not Google "spandex bulge" and see what happens? If that doesn't work, you can always try an image search.

Meanwhile, I'll start crafting my apology...
