Interesting solution. I use a Tuffy in my Jeep Wrangler (2 door).
It seem like a PIA to have to life up the storage tray each time you want to get into the console/safe.
I wish someone made a solution that included the re-use of the factory console tray INSIDE the locked safe.
The Console Vault version provides some additonal protection since it "screws into" the console itself and has a floor / bottom (making it a bit more difficult to remove, IMO. The Console Vault version is considerable more expensive though.

I have them both, a Tuffy in a Wrangler and the Console Vault in a F350. The console vault is 12 ga compared to Tuffy at 16ga. I think the lock on the Console vault is better. They both install basically the same way. Both will keep the honest out. They can both be broken into with enough time and a few tools.
