I installed one on my truck 2 weeks ago, can you imagine a 4X4 with 33/1250's spinning the tires all the way thru 3rd gear?
Well mine will, really! I never imagined this truck would run this well. It ran great off the floor but this is unreal. The first time I drove it , it pulled the wheel out of my hands, oh what a smile I had.
Milage wise, I haven't really been able to tone down my lead foot, but so far I have seen a .7 MPG increase in the city.
The best part is when one of those no muffler, farm tractor sounding goats try and show what they don't have and have to duck out of site because a Blue Oval just dusted his tail. YEE HAA!
hightech - which setting do you run in? 60, 80 or 100 hp?? i understand that at the 60hp setting you do not have to concern yourself with exhaust temps, exhaust size and other factors that may hurt your engine.. just drive it like it was stock..
i am getting one this week along with the afe air flow and filter system. i am not a "hot rodder", i just want the engine to breathe and run a little better.
i will let you guys know my thoughts after the install..
I thought the install was a breeze, it easier if you pull the battery on the drivers side as thats where you plug in. I tie strapped the module to the wiring harness next to the firewall and left the switch under the hood.
I run the 100hp setting, I don't do any long hauling so I don't have to worry about temp. And yes you will be safe running the 60HP setting, some of my customers are using the 60 horse while pulling there travel trailers with no problems.
Fords Rule, Oil Burners that run like Rat motors Top it off.
Take it out before you get there and act like Sgt Shultz, I know nothing, nothing!!
They have to prove it was there, if they don't see it they can't prove it. The data trace some have been talking to doesn't exist, it may have an over boost code, but with out the other info they have no proof.
