OK, I am a year into owning a 06 F350 dually 6.0.
While getting ready to hook up my 32 foot box trailer for the first time I did a review first.
I am having a hard time believing that with all the whiz bang towing accessories there are no relays used to feed the trailer.
Every other earlier ford I owned required relays be added to avoid burning up the light switch. Been there.
Dodges had no chance. Chevy switch could stand the heat but trailer lights were always dimmer than they should be.
Adding relays gave full power from the battery to the trailer and gave out great light...and of course the switches never failed.
Soooo, are there some hidden or should I add some in for piece of mind?

Everything that feeds the trailer connector (except ground) goes through relays. Have you looked in your owner's manual?
Unfortunately, the running lamp relay is not a user-serviceable relay, it's soldered into the CJB. The rest are plug-ins and are distributed between the fuse boxes.
