Been having noises out of my front end which i suspect was coming from my springs. Have a Helwig add-a-leaf in there that uses a clamp to bind the add-a-leaf and one of the OEM springs together on each end. Does it when I start stopping, especially if i start swaying it back and forth w/ the brake when stopping. Don't want to spend any money if it's the springs cause gonna order new ones later this month. Need to take it in to get the axle shaft lubricated, didn't know if I should address this or if the new springs will fix it.
Gonna be replacing a few OEM suspension parts when I get this all spring lift on and aren't quite sure what to do w/ em, along w/ BFG A/T tires w/ about 10,000 miles, 5 OEM aluminum rims and Monroe Reflex shocks. Probably do tires, rims & shocks locally. Any suggestions on how much thier worth? All local miles w/ no highway since I've put em on. Will go get em spec'd since I got free rotations. Except for the noises the fronts are W rated and the rears have the overload on em. Well, thanks for any input!
if you just need a temp fix you can put some axle grease between the leaves. It works well to stop the creaking, unless you are in a very dusty or wet place. Other than that it will last for a few weeks
make sure the sway bar bolts are super tight. i thought mine were ok, but they were a bit loose, and there was a clunk when braking and turning into the driveway. after a trip to the shop with godzilla the impact gun, no more clunk.....
