Propride Hitch

Propride will make you a 3" shank weight distribution sway control hitch if you want to spend the money and go first class. Already got mine. Unbelievable product. The 3" is not on their website but if you call them they will make one for you.

Love my ProPride- it's well worth the money, and Sean seems to run a first class operation.

How tight is the fit between the 3" shank and the receiver? Is the shank exactly 3"? It looks like a very nice product.

There is some slight sloppiness in the fit, but it is minimal. Nothing that you can notice while towing. I could tighten it up a bit with some welding beads down two sides but I won't since I can't feel any movement while towing.

I had a ProPride on my F150 - awesome hitch and worth every penny to add stability.

The 2" steel drawbar was very heavy. I wouldn't want to deal with a 3" one if I didn't have to.

That is a good point. Damn heavy. But worth it.

The tongue on your trailer looks to be well constructed too. What make and model is it?

Tip: If you put reflective tape on the trailer hitch around the square hole, it is much easier to see in the camera.

I loved my propride also, greatest investment for our old bumper pull trailer. It's just been sitting on the garage since upgrading to a 5th wheel.

Actually, about 240 pounds. But all but about 40 pounds or so is permanently attached to the travel trailer.
