Oh my goodness! And it's on my birthday to boot.
6.5 to 7 hour drive. Of course a stop off in Lincoln can be justified.

Thats Dwight Bonds collection! Lots of stuff. I would love to go but to far away... He used to make adpater plates for flathead to T5 swaps. I bought one from him years ago.
Here is the auction link with more pics.

Now, to sell that to the boss.
Joe, maybe you could find a Seafoam left front fender with patina for your truck among all that stuff at the auction.
As much stuff is there it wouldn't surprise me.
I wonder how long that auction will take. I think they will have to group items some.
Sounds like you better bring a big trailer Joe. I bet we can max you out I think I'm good to go. Just let me know when and where My luck with auctions is that they always sell the items I'm interested in, at the end. Ha Ha
Headed to this Auction today! Any other FTE Members going to be there? I know Nebraska isn't much of a Vacation destination but buf you need anything specific send me a PM!
Having fun digging through all the parts but not much I can use. Prices high and a lot of stuff prime for scrap pile IMO. I'm sure there are lots of parts for many of the rebuilders.
Well I made it back after an interesting day of Parts searching and people watching. Most of the trucks and parts had set outside for at least 20 or more years. So as the pictures show they are well seasoned. Most fenders brought $40-$50. Cabs only, $100-$300, and the rolling trucks $300-$1000. The guy also dabbled in early 30's fords and actually build fiberglass reproductions years back. Dwight Bond and his son Kyle are still around and were actively involved with the auction. He is just getting out of the business. I didn't find much for my F350 but did manage to "pick" some heater cores from a guy that bought all the left overs on a trailer. Thought I would share a few photos.
Heater Cores I pick up. Mine is bad. Hopefully one of these will be good!
That looks like a fun time. I wondered if prices might be high. Although with that much stuff, I'm sure some guys got a steal on a specific part they were hunting for.
