Well once again I'm working on my 58. We;ve been having alot of problems with the NEW carb but i think we got that part figured out. The real problem I have is that While we were getting everything adjusted we turned the key and flung off all the teeth on my starter bendix. Made one heck of a racket in the dust cover. Anywasy I've checked motor haven and f100.com but niether one of the have the gear assembly I need any one out there know where I can get the bendix assembly for my ol' 223? thanks again yall!!!!!
I agree with Barry. Try NAPA or even Auto Zone. It's cheap to check and you might be surprised what you can get locally. If you can't find something, post the specifics and either somebody will have an extra or we can give you a list of vendors. Keep us posted on your progress.
Go across I-10 and into the PS/PD/CC area off Hwy 111 to Napa, or better yet, call first. They should have cross-references for the Bendix gear. If not in stock, they can order it.
