what was so bad, did it to a van, had to add brackets on the frame, the hanging pedals, and the obvious clutch and tranny, already had correct driveshaft.

Doing the conversion with a 78 Bronco and a 78 F250, swapping components back and forth makes it easier.

I pulled the T-18 from Torque1st's 78 F-250 and gave him my stock C6 from the 78 Bronco, then traded the T-18 for an NP435, and I have the transmission in, there was no physical problem there, the mounting location for those two vehicles was exactly the same.

As for the clutch mounting and such, im not to sure about that as we havnt gotten into it yet, but im sure it cant be TOO terribly differnet, knock on wood!

This is a good example for you though of why very careful research should be done long in preparation for any sort of swap. I read and read everything I could get my hands on before I decided what I knew would work and what wouldnt. This will save you many grey hairs in the end.

As long as you know all that needs to be changed before hand, and have a knowledge of automobiles, everything shouldnt go over TOO terrible. It all just has to do with what you have done in prep. for your swap, as I said before.
Working on your truck shouldnt make you hate it

Daniel and I just trade back and forth until we find a combo that fits.

My truck is in storage which makes it hard to get to parts, his is in purgatory hiding from the local gendarmes. We can bring them out by dark of night...

I have a selection of C6 tailshafts and housings available so something should match up.
