Swapping 7.3 Powerstroke into 6.9 IDI

Alright guys, big question here. I have a 1987 F-250 with a 6.9IDI and C6 tranny. I have the opportunity to purchase a junker truck (2002 F-250 7.3 w/ auto trans). My dream would be to swap this engine and trans into my old 87. Is this possible? Is there anything stopping this from happening? Like fit or whatever it may be. I know obviously you would need to do the normal stuff for a drivetrain swap. Also is there anything wrong with the 2002 trucks? Like anything weird for that year? Any advice or info would be great. Can't seem to find much on swapping a 6.9 IDI for a 7.3 Powerstroke lol.
Thanks!

You can do anything if you set your mind to it.If your looking for a how to; 2002 7.3l/4r100 swap into a 1987 f250 your just not going to find one.
You'll need advanced mechanical and fabrication skills along with the advanced tools. If you have these skills to do the job.........you probably wouldn't be asking how to do it,but posting the how to instead.Don't take that wrong,I don't mean any disrespect by it (I lack the skills personally, to take on this type of project) I'm just saying, this is one of those swaps where if you need to ask, your probably biting off more than you can chew is all.

Fabrication and wiring wouldn't be the issue, if we can't figure it out, we know people who can. The biggest question is just knowing if the 7.3 will even be able to fit in my engine bay lol. I know the 6.9 and 7.3 IDIs were roughly the same size, I just don't know about the powerstroke motor.

I think you better have someone else do the swap then.
