Brake / ABS Lights

Any idea what would cause the brake indicator and ABS light to come on whenever you hit the brake pedal? The come on simultaneously. Thanks any opinions welcome

Yeah, it means your brakes may fail at any time. Have you checked the brake fluid, and checked the wheels and ALL lines for leaks?

Absolutely. No fluid leaks; reservoir is full. Brake light sensor on the master cylinder is new, and the abs sensor is new as well.

The Red Brake light is triggered by low fluid in the master cylinder. You may have a bad float inside the master cylinder if it really is full.

1995 F series. Other years are similar.

There are more codes to set off the red indicator light than just a low reservoir. The sensor on the parking brake pedal for instance. Neither of which would set off the ABS Light simultaneously. I replaced the pressure switch on the brake pedal that shuts the cruise off. That seems to have eliminated the issue. Thanks for all the input.
