I do pretty well at getting the paint, tires, wheels, and even the interior looking nice. But, the glass kick my butt!
Glass should be invisible and I end up with streaks. Some glass cleaners seem to work better than others, and I can't stand these micro fiber towels, I do better with black and white print news paper.
Yesterday I cleaned my wife's 08 Escape, our son's 2014 Focus ST, and my 2013 F150. Today I'm wanting to do the glass, and get a couple layers of RainX on the glass.
After I wash and towel dry, I use the cheap blue windshield washer fluid in a spary bottle. I don't think it streaks as bad as windex. Have you made your move yet?
I used Windex yesterday, and the glass looks terrible.
Haven't moved yet. I'm picking a 26' box truck May 4th and start loading. We'll get on the road as early as possibly Friday, May 5th. I'm hoping by early afternoon. And would love to make it to Memphis Tn that day. That would give us a 6 hour drive the next day. But I think that's going to be too much of a drive after loading a truck for o2 days.
i believe windex has ammonia where the cheap blue washer fluid doesn't.
Good luck with your move, I heard years ago that a big move is only surpassed in stress levels by death and divorce.
We moved from Missouri to North Carolina almost 5 years ago. And yes, it's a lot to go through. Now, we're moving back to Missouri, and happy to be going back home, but it's still a hectic mess just trying to make sure it's all getting packed, and the next place is ready to move into with utilities and all turned on.
We'll sure be glad when it's over.
And thanks for the good luck, we'll take it.
ubereal2 , Since you going to use Rain X try this. ttps://www.rainx.com/product/glass-water-repellents-cleaners/rainx-glass-cleaner/#.WOwKrvnyupo .used it and worked great
Got it at Walmart if that helps.
Old school newsprint always worked for me.
For cleaning the glass at home "Sprayway" brand ammonia free glass cleaner from. . . Wally World

Yeah, that spray bottle and a roll of cheapo blue paper towels for road trips because you never know what those wash tanks at the gas station will have in them.

Appreciate that, thanks!
I haven't seen that before.
