Well got a PCM from a buddy who was wrecking out a 2001 Ex 7.3 and stabbed it in. Truck popped and farted and ran for 5 seconds. Turned over got white smoke, now turns over and back to square one. WTS Light works.
Tach needle not bouncing. However with this PCM, as opposed to the other one that stalled when tapped, autoenginuity is giving me readings.
ICP Duty Cycle 38% (Touch high)
ICP 2265 after 2 seconds cranking
ICP Voltage 2.8 to 3.2\
Engine RPM 156.2.
So as far as the PCM is concerned, thing is turning over. GOt no way to measure fuel pressure but bowl is full, drained and filled twice.
However, tach does not bounce when turning over, is it possible that my nice grey Ford CPS is bad? IF it was, I thought AE would not see it turn over.
Well after an oil change and 56psi fuel pressure she cranks but soes not start. Odd think is Autoenginuity shiws the rpm cranking but the dash does not but I swappes both previous working CPS units in. Can and IDM still do a buzz test but not fire?
