The passenger side front seat will rattle sometimes when no one is in it. That's about it. Kind of irritating, but then I just put someone in it, and the problem is gone.

Exactly. I have the same problem and solve it the same way.
I have this same problem. Can't find out where it is. Sounds like it's behind the rear seat and it only happens at very slow speeds going over a choppy road.
Good thought! I know I stow a number of things in the cubby beneath the rear seats. Shopping bags, clip on beaners for tying things down, bungies, and the brackets for the ramps, to mention a few.
I don't keep my trailer ball insert under the back seat with a 2" ball on it a 1 7/8 ball and a 5.5/16 ball with a wrench under mine along with a wrench to change them and some ratchet straps, bungees, etc. i keep shop rags wrapped around any steel or metal items and so far no annoying rattles.

Traced my sound to door near rear of,dealer tightened something in door ,but it still has a little rattle sometimes ,but not as much. Sounded like a rod rattle in linkage.
Spray lithium lube on the latch mechanism in the door. My Super Duty did this same thing and it drove me nuts. Finally, after determining that nothing was loose, and riding in the back seat for a few miles on a road known to induce the rattle, I guessed that the mechanism was dry inside.
It worked and every year or so when the rattle started to come back another shot of lube fixed the issue.
