So, I have a two fold inquiry:1) is a driving light bar a viable solution 2) is there an alternator hack for my third OEM alt?
I've owned my F 250 6.0 since new, and have never really thought that my high beams are that bright. If I am in high beam mode and forget to dim my lights, on coming traffic rarely flash me. I've replaced my bulbs , still not what I am looking for. I have been considering a driving light bar, but I really want it to be controlled with my factory turn selector switch. Is this a difficult procedure?
Another concern is the power drain/strain of my alternator. I am on my third. It seems to me that a light bar will draw hard on an already challenged charging system. I need to address my alternator issue. do I need to buy a fourth, heavier duty one, or is there a hack that can address my problems? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just get a set of retro fitted projectors for the headlights? Light up the world. There's a thread here somewhere, Tony was doing the work and shipping them... great upgrade!
Honestly, most light bars don't draw a too absurd amount of power. Even a full size 32" bar like this one is about 15A, or about 10A for something like a 20" one.
